5x World Short Course Champion. 28x World Life Saving Medalist. Olympic gold medallist. Current short course world record holder in the 800m freestyle. Lani Pallister's endurance engine is in a class of its own. At Lane Four, she's built a pathway around what elite distance and open-water performance actually looks like — for swimmers at every level, delivered inside the app.
Lani Pallister is the daughter of Seoul 1988 Olympian Janelle Elford and has swimming in her blood. With legendary Dawn Fraser as her godmother, the connection to Australian swimming royalty runs deep.
Born in Sydney and raised in Queensland, Lani developed an extraordinary aerobic engine that has made her the benchmark in women's distance freestyle — but her capabilities don't stop at the pool wall. Lani's endurance background spans competitive pool distance events, open water racing and surf lifesaving, making her one of the most complete aquatic athletes on the Lane Four roster.
Her 2024 Paris Olympic debut added relay gold to her world championship pedigree. In 2025 she set the short course world record in the 800m freestyle in 7:54.00, confirming her as the benchmark for women's distance swimming globally. At Lane Four, Lani's program takes her elite training knowledge and makes it genuinely accessible. Structured pacing frameworks, aerobic base programs, gym and dryland conditioning, open water skills and event lead-ins built for pool swimmers and distance athletes at every level across multiple environmental disciplines.
